Hole 16 (Stroke Index 6)

This is the first of 2 consecutive Par 5’s and the longest hole on the course. The tee shot is a very different prospect when played from the competition tee, requiring a long and true shot. You are faced with an avenue of trees right and left leaving you in no doubt as to where you must hit your drive! Your second shot requires consideration as to whether you attempt to fly the cross ditch or to lay-up, a decision dependent on how good your tee shot was!!
2 fairway bunkers protect the approach to a long narrow green that is cambered. Any approach shot less than perfect can easily feed off in either direction. A truly tough and challenging Par 5.
