Golf was originally played at the current site of Old Padeswood Golf Club over 100 years ago. The current club was established in 1977 and increased to 18 holes in 1985. The Club became a members club in April 2016, and is now “run by the members, for the members”.
The course has a Par of 72 (73 for the Ladies), being over 6,600 yards off the championship tees. The course is a fair challenge for golfers of all abilities.
The course benefits from being in a tranquil area with an abundance of wildlife, many varieties of birds of prey can be seen flying over the rolling and open parkland course.
Situated on the Cheshire and North Wales border in the county of Flintshire, we have magnificent views of the Clwydian Mountain Range including Moel Famau with its jubilee tower perched at the summit.
The location of the course makes it easy to find, we are close to the Welsh town of Mold, 7 Miles from Wrexham and 10 miles west of the historical city of Chester. The A 55 runs close by, so we are within an hour’s drive of Manchester, Liverpool and the North West.
We pride ourselves in being a friendly Golf club welcoming visitors and can provide a great day for societies. You can be sure that you will have an enjoyable round of golf with warm hospitality. The clubhouse can provide a wide variety of refreshments from a lite bite to a full three course meal. All the food is produced by our in house chef who uses fresh ingredients sourced locally. We are confident you will return to try the culinary delights on offer.
The Clubhouse can also cater for Company meeting’s, Lunches, Wedding reception’s, Birthday’s and other evening/daytime functions. Just contact the club for details or see the Clubhouse page.
